Project rules

Guidelines and recommendations for using the SMSInbox verification-testing service. In the event of a breach of these rules, we accept no liability for the outcome of a user's actions; each case is reviewed individually.

Payment for services & purchase procedure

  1. Before using SMSInbox, you must top up your balance.
  2. All available top-up methods appear after clicking the "Top up" button.
  3. The commission and minimum top-up amount depend on the selected payment method.
  4. Please note: funds may take up to 3 hours to be credited to your balance.
  5. Funds are deducted upon completion of a purchase.
  6. A purchase is considered complete once an OTP code has been received and displayed to you.
  7. If an OTP code does not arrive for any reason, the funds are returned to your balance.
  8. If codes repeatedly fail to arrive across multiple purchases, sanctions may apply (see "Bans").
  9. To withdraw funds, send a request to support@smsinbox.io from your registered email. Requests are reviewed within 3 business days; the standard withdrawal period is 7 days, and in some cases review may take up to 4 weeks.
  10. Refunds are made to the same wallet used for the deposit.
  11. A 5% fee is charged for withdrawals. If a year or more has passed since the last top-up the fee is 15%; after 2 years 25%; after 3 years 35%.

Why money wasn't credited to the balance

If topped up correctly, funds are credited automatically within a maximum of 3 hours. Crediting issues usually mean a top-up condition wasn't met:

Rent & activation

Rent and Activation are the two core services. Choose based on your needs and the importance of the account you're creating.

Activation is divided by verification method: by SMS (code arrives in a message), by number (the last digits of an incoming call are the code), and by voice (the code is dictated during a call). If a feature isn't on the site, it's under development.

Bans

In case of poor statistics, sanctions may apply. Depending on usage volume, we apply two types of restriction: bans and a threads limit.

  1. Country–service ban — applied when 100+ numbers are taken and the successful-registration rate is below 6%. Active for 30 minutes; a repeated failure re-triggers it.
  2. Account ban — applied when 5+ different country–service combinations have already been banned. Active for 30 minutes; a repeated failure re-triggers it.
  3. Threads limit — the number of threads equals the quantity of numbers purchased simultaneously awaiting a code. With overall success below 3%: 500+ numbers limits to 10 threads, 750+ to 5, 1000+ to 1. Limits reset daily at 21:00 UTC.

Bans help maintain high number availability and attract reliable suppliers. Please ensure nothing on your side blocks code reception (see below).

What to do if no code is delivered

  1. Change the number.
  2. Use a high-quality VPN/proxy.
  3. Make sure the VPN/proxy country matches the number's country.
  4. Prefer top countries by SMS delivery rate.
  5. For manual registration, use an anti-detect browser.
  6. Some services (e.g. Telegram) must be registered via a mobile app or emulator.

Account actions

  1. If an account was previously registered with the purchased number, contact support — in rare cases the money can be refunded.
  2. We are not responsible for account bans caused by violations of a platform's own rules.
  3. All account-related actions are performed solely at the risk of the end user who purchased the number.

Prohibited

  1. Using SMSInbox for any illegal purposes.
  2. Using disposable numbers for paid subscriptions.
  3. Using numbers in the banking sphere.

Please note: legislation on virtual numbers varies by country. We recommend studying the laws of your country of residence.

Account

  1. You set a login and password when creating an account — keep your credentials secure.
  2. We recommend enabling 2FA (Profile → Security).
  3. Change your password at least once every three months and use unique passwords.
  4. For security, the administration may block an account with no activity for 3 months, or on detection of suspicious or third-party activity.
  5. Recovery of a banned account is possible only with the email specified at registration.

API

  1. API documentation is available on our website.
  2. The same rules and restrictions apply to API purchases as on the site (see "Bans").
  3. API requests are subject to RPS limits: each account is allocated 40 RPS. Exceeding it triggers a notification (error 1020 or 400) and a 10-second block; repeated excess re-applies the block.
  4. Custom or ready-made software for automated registration is allowed.
  5. We are not responsible for errors on a software provider's side, or for incorrect API implementation. Refunds for user-side programming errors are not provided.

Notifications

  1. Important news about rule changes and new services is published on our official channels.
  2. We may use the contact info you provided for personal notifications.
  3. Technical messages (password change, API key, etc.) are sent via email — check your spam folder and mark as "not spam" if needed.
  4. By registering you agree to receive marketing emails; you may unsubscribe at any time.
